Step Rite Shoe Lifts
Before a lift, the shorter side lands on its toes and the longer side scuffs its heel, so the two shoes wear differently. After a lift, both feet land the same way. A lifted shoe wears like its mate, and the lift material is chosen to wear at the same rate as the sole.
Reading the wear
Heavy toe wear on one shoe: that foot is reaching for the ground. Heavy heel wear on the other: that leg is long and the heel drags. Outside-edge wear on one side: the foot is rolling to shorten the leg.
After the lift
The pattern evens out over the next pair. The lift is built from material that wears with the sole, so the shoe stays level as it ages.
Replacing shoes
When a lifted pair wears out, the next pair gets the same lift. Keep the order confirmation; the specs are on it, and "same as last order" is enough on the next form.
