Your surgeon, physical therapist, chiropractor, or podiatrist sets the lift height from a measurement. Many prescribe part of the difference first for a large or new discrepancy and increase it after remeasuring. Write the number they give you on the order form and we build to it.

What clinicians weigh

The measured difference. How long you have had it. How you walk now. Whether it is new from surgery. A difference you were born with has a body built around it; a difference from last spring's hip replacement does not. The same measurement can get a different prescription in those two people.

Partial correction and staging

For a large or recent difference, many clinicians prescribe half to two thirds of it first and remeasure in a month or two. The lift on your shoe can be raised to the next number when it comes.
